I've heard that SGS pass rates tend to be higher than standard testing and wanted to apply with them. Is this possible or do you just apply through the RSA and they might refer you to SGS.

If you can apply directly to SGS does anyone know how? I was just on their http://www.drivertesting.ie/generalinfo.html and it looks like it hasn't been updated in ages.

    Cheers

You can't apply directly to SGS you have to apply through rsa and hope you get referred to a sgs test center.

I know in my test center there is no difference between the standards.
If anything SGS is tougher because the tester is English, and generally they are not good at putting people at ease and I would be more nervous because I know they are very rule oriented.

The tester's nationality should have little to do with it. All of the testers I saw in Dun Laoghaire appeared to be Irish, and I found the tester's manner much more conducive to doing a good test.
