Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all I am having a problem with my HP compaq NX8220 laptop it randomly get the bosd it seems to only happen when I am on the internet. I have run a memtes and it passed no problems so I dont think it is the ram. I have the latest drivers for my nic card. I think it could be a problem with the way windows xp assigns IRQ as there is a number of devices sharing the same IRQ when I go to change it the option is shaded out no matter what account I am logged in as. I have attached a photo taken of the bsod this is really starting to get n my nerves. If you can help thanks in advance 308061559a7049145570l.jpg

xp always does that IRQ thing, just ignore it

about your BSOD from a quick google

    i'd suggest...

disable the on boards nic or remove the pci nic

and install a different brand one, they are dirt cheap to buy

Yeah have taught about that but it is a laptop and I know a pcmcia card would be cheap enpugh but a no cost solution would be best as I am on a fas course. is ther a way I can gain access to these IRQ settings.

check the BIOS for options / non PnP , unlikely though

or disable other stuff on the same IRQ

check what hidden devices there are in device manager
