Can anyone recommend any such courses around the city.

My computer skills I would say are fair..want to improve on the basics.

    Thanks

Id suggest trying local rescource centres like Ballybane or Westside for the free courses, usually run in the libraries etc..

I would think all those course would cover the basics which Cole obviously already knows since he's posting here. After the basics, courses will try to specialise and get very expensive.

Self teaching is the best way in my opinion. There are tons of tutorials and guides for different programes out there. Think of something you'd like to achieve like photo editing or even making some music. It's really trial and error plus lots of practice that will improve your computer skills.

OP, you need to give us more clues about what you want to learn and why. Every job in the entire world uses computers these days, but for vastly different things.

What we'll recommend is different depending on whether you want to be an office-admin person, or a soft-drink-machine technician or a programmer or a help-desk-support person or to post photos of your grandkids on the web, etc.

I did a very short course on inventor up in Galway years ago I can't remember the name though.

Inventor and solid works are pretty easy anyway, A good book for dummies would cover anything you want to know.
