    i can't help feeling like i left a decent bench behind me...... a little frustrated tbh

    my other excuse is that it's my first time benching over 117.5 in 6 months

    i got pretty strong pretty quickly, i think i'd a 120 bench, 140-150 squat and a 180 deadlift in well under a year and then it all when arse-shaped!!!

    Interesting - so what was your starting point, i.e. what were ya liftin a year prior to those numbers?

    Umm very little!! i think it was somethin like a 50kg bench, 60kg squat type thing... the usual, i remember lookin at a guy shoulder pressing 20kg bumbells and thinking he was an absolute animal, and that was for about 3 months!!

    I used to play alot of rugby, then i stopped went from training 5 times a week (normal sessions, speed sessions and fitness) to doing nothing!! so when i started gyming i'd gone from 14 and a half stone fit as a fiddle to about 163/4 stone of fat!! so as i was upping strength i was dropping weight too!

    I think i just really pushed my Newb gains as far as they'd go

    Silly bugger, you've been lifting for what, six months? You're not supposed to be equalling L yet. There's no gain in being impatient about weight lifting.
