Need recommendation for sound sound system for TV please

    I've just bought a new TV - a Hitachi 42" LCD - and now I need a surround sound system to go with it. A DVD Player with speakers and a sub etc - but it must play DivX, Mpg, xVid etc.

    I need maximum possible connectivity. It must be able to out take the sound from the TV and play it through the speakers. Ideally I'd like it to be able to connect to a external source such as a hard drive or USB key etc.

    Can anyone recommend something to me?
