Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tell him you shooting in close proximity to valuable horses. and you also need some protection form the noise as it has a tendency to make you flinch as well as deaf Get a letter from your doc about the bad hears you told me about in that pm the other day:confused:;)

Ear muffs alone will not fully protect you from a full bore rifles noise. For full protection you much use ear plugs with ear muff or ear muffs with sound moderator. We did the tests on all rifles and shotgun in use in the wildlife service with a specialist, was great fun:).
It doesn't make sense not to use a moderator.

I guess the problem with them must be because the bad guys always screw one on just before they shoot some important person from the top of a tall building in CSI.

Next they'll be wanting us to make our .22lr's louder. Whats wrong with a fullbore rifle emitting the noise of a .22lr.

hay there Griff did you ever get a chart which showed the dB's of sound with the different size rounds. that sound like a very interesting exercise.:)
If a mod with ear plugs and ear defenders is a really important part of kit and this can be proved to a reasonable level, it would throw a spanner in to the restricted access to mods... .... Wow i have another plan of attack.. if only i could live long enough to execute them(my plans) all...;)

well dont listen to ivan for a start

    dont lie,

and say why you do want one, you will have a reason and that should be good enough

I got my permit recently - no problems. Gave two main reasons

    1. For practicing vermin control - and wanting to reduce noise pollution
    2. When zeroing at the range for health and safety reason.

    Hope this helps
    regards
