Poker in Limerick

Im a bit sick of my home game and don't want to go to the fitzpatrick. Is there any pubs organizong poker events?

I think The Hurlers in Castletroy hold a game on Monday nights at 9pm and its a €60 freezeout.
Russells in Raheen have a game on Thursday nights around 8.30. I thinks its a €25 with one rebuy or top-up at €20.
I know there are more on but can't remember at the moment.

russells has finished, theres a game every fri night in Mulcahys in caherconlish.

there's a game in the country club on friday evenings but not sure what the buy in is.haven't played so no info.

Lately there's been a nl game running from time to time. a roe sometimes and plo on special occiasions.

It's straight down the Old Cratloe Rd past LIT after the last housing estate.
I didn't realise there was game on there either, what's the buy-in and are they getting many numbers?

If it's not too much of a trek for you there's a lovely card club after opening up in Newcastlewest. It's called Hotshots and they run tournaments Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with cash games afterwards usually 1/2 pl as far as I know. They are open mid week as well but I'm not sure what nights.

I get texts off them from 085 1046543 so it might worth giving them a shout to see whats on before ending out. Friday night is a €50 f/o with 1k g'td. Numbers have varied from 10 to 30 on the nights I was there for it.

I'm not sure how it's going to be honest. It's a big venue, over 3 floors, snooker tables on the top floor, poker tables on the middle floor and a internet cafe/deli at the bottom with a roulette and poker machines in the back. The poker area is really nice and they are big a big effort in fairness to them, but I don't know if they'll have the consistent player base to make a go of it. I hope they do because it's a great addition and the lads running it are sound.

The night only 10 showed up, (this was due to big game on in Tarbert on the same night), they were true to their word and paid out the full 1k. So we basically got to play a €100 f/o for half price.

It's the same lads from the Vic who are dealing so it's a good setup.

Edit: I just reread your post. It's open about 6 - 8 weeks I'd say.

why will you not go into the fitz elmolesto??? hotshots in newcastle is open about 2 months. i was running it at first, by that i mean the first night. very nice set up it has to be said.

i used to work in the vic and the rest of the lads from there are running it now..well not all of them, a few..and hands up if you miss the vic!! come on, dont be shy...

Well I play most of my poker in Dublin, only play out in Newcastlewest when I'm home visiting. That said I 'll be moving back down to Limerick full time in the next month or so, so i'd be on for any game organised then.

have to say played there lsat night for first time,good well organized game staff couldn't do enough to help ,they have a 12 week league just started big pot at end for top 7or 8 , would recommend for anyone.
