New Car for Under €25K

Hi folks
Im looking for the best bang for bucks for a newish (less than 2-3 years) car under €25K. Within the criteria,
1) Under 2 Litres
2) Diesel
3) Good Boot Space
4) More Sporting the better
5) NOT a Saloon. Hatchback, Stationwagon, Coupe preferred in that order.
6) Must be a dealer not private sale.


Thats it. For reference i am driving an Octavia at the moment.

Not a saloon? Does that mean you'll accept a hatch back or are you looking for a coupe?

Another Skoda, perhaps? (vrs maybe?)
Saab 93 Sport Saloon (1-2 years old), even 1.8T is very peppy. and I think they have a 1.9TiD version
Mercedes C-class coupe?
BMW 3-series (more than 2 years old though)

of all those I would go with Saab 93 SS, but then I'm a bit biased towards them!

I've driven one of these and there is some "Bang" for your buck. 1st gear acceleration from a standstill has lag but then it takes off and carries on pinning you in to your seat to excess of legal speeds. Half Leather, Climate Control, Cruise Control and half leather / alcantara as standard.

Having one of the current models you'll already be aware of the boot size, and the new model is just as big.
