Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool v Newcastle, 15:00---Draw - I say this solely because Keegan has been in charge of Newcy for something like 8 or 9 games now, he's due a result, but Liverpool will win with another Torres hatrick! Actually i wonder what the odds for Keegan to lose his first 10 matches in the premier league. The weekend looks boring enough, i would say we would be watching the Rugby instead :)
Pool and City match looks interesting enough.. might watch that

Richard Dunne has just been stretchered with what looks like a potential broken leg after a collision with Stephen Hunt. Looks like a LOT of blood. Terrible news.

EDIT: Just said it's a seriously gashed shin and maybe a twist. Thank God.

Sweet Jesus Newcastle are woeful! All they can hope for now is for Torres and Gerrard to be taken off and rested for europe.

Blackburn 1-0 with a goal from pederson

Reading 1-0 with a goal from our very own Shane Long

Cracking effort from Martins there, would have been an absolute peach of a goal.

Since when has Mark Hughes become such an attacking manager? Took Tugay off after 55 minutes and went something like:

    Reid
    Pederson
    Bentley
    --Roberts--Santa Cruz--Derbyshire--

The only reason Tugay was playing was because of injuries, it's usually Reid and the attacking Dunn in central midfield with 4 attackers.

Another shocking display from City. Were enjoying 80% of possession then fall asleep at the back and allow Reading to score. Going to be three games in a row without scoring. Woeful

Wheels falling off at City relatively speaking. I guess fans knew mid table was more likely than europe. Plenty of summer spends to come no doubt.

Indeed. Missing Richards and Onuoha from the start and losing Dunne early on doesn't help matters but the fact is we've been sh*te since the new year (well bar the derby of course). Now Didi to be suspended for two games as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Terrible news about Dunne, hope he's ok.

Great to see Reading win, they deserve to be in the league. Play good honest attacking football, we need more small teams like them.
Seriously, Newcastle are a shocking team, going down hopefully. Wins for Sunderland, Wigan and Brum tomorrow would be great.
Brum, Fulham and Reading coming up for Newcastle in the next 4 games, they need to get results out of them. There's no reason with the squad they have they shouldn't be able to win 2 of those, if they did, they'd probably be safe.

I think Newkie need to go down, clear the decks and start fresh.
