Anyone reccomend a good book on PLCs?? Am currently doing sequential function charts, analogue control and onto PID control and SCADA next year, as part of modules in control and automation.
The books on PLCs in the college library just seem out of date and generally not very good.

I found that the Mitsubishi manual is very good. If you can programme a Mitsubishi you will find that most of the others are very similar, such as Alan Bradley, Seimens etc.

Have you looked at the manual?? I did a very good course in PLCs. One of the things we were taught was how to use the manual. i know it sounds stupid, but it is true. With PLCs it is all about exposure. What exactly do you need help with??? Can you be more specific??
