Good Gigs in Black Box

    I have nothing to do with the Black Box and was never in it. But, recently I stumbled across the list of events coming up there. Some good gigs.

    Jose Gonzalez (The guy who sings 'Heartbeats' from the Sony Bravia ad with the ping-pong balls) is there on April 5th. Mainly acoustic stuff, excellent.

    and American Band 'Iron and Wine' AKA Sam Beam on May 10th. Also acoustic.

    both definitely worth a night out. Tickets very resonable too.

    The Carlsberg comedy festival is comming too. 2 weeks time I believe it is. Couple of very good and promising acts playing. The big ones seem to be taking the black box.

    He played a gig in the Radisson when he was very sick that was bad but came back and did two excellent shows in the Roisin. Superb guitar player.

    Angello & Ingrosso were great in the Black Box and there are loads more coming up. Great venue, seen Declan O Rourke there a couple of years ago. ALso had the pleasure of sitting many exams there ... :(

    Best thing I've seen there was when they did The Band The Last Waltz concert tribute, last year.

    That was plain awesome

    :D Same here. Did an exam in there while in college. Bizarre experience to say the least! Was in there trollied the following weekend -which was even more bizarre!
