Truthfully, Marquez has been poor this season and as blasphemous as this may sound, so has Puyol. Granted, he has played quite a bit at right back but I don't see the inclusion of Thuram for Puyol and Henry for Messi as severely weakening the team. I don't think Villarreal have that blistering pace upfront to really expose the Barça defence.

I'll be there tomorrow cheering on Barça, mainly because I want the title race to go down to the wire. Would like to see Rossi have a good game for Villarreal though. 4-3 with a hatrick for Rossi would do me!:D

Barça dominated the game but just couldn't break Villarreal down. Eto'o, Henry and Ronaldinho all had poor games and the only attacking threat seemed to come from Iniesta. Tonight confirmed why he's my favourite Barça player and hopefully he can step out of the shadow at Euro 2008.

Anyway, fair play to Villarreal. They defended extremely well and hit Barça on the counter with devestating effect.

Plus, the ref had a bit of a shocker and gave all the 50-50 decisions to Villarreal. Villarreal players were time-wasting before they even scored the first goal and the ref didn't seem interested.
