Designing my own tattoo

I would love to get a tattoo. Iv thought long and hard about it. Spent a year thinking about it so i really want one. Its not an impulse thing. I want to get a paw print cause i love animals. But i don't want an ordinary paw print, i want my dogs paw print. Is there a way to get her paw print and making it into a tattoo?

dip the dogs paw in some ink and press it onto a page then bring it into a tattoo artist

if you use printing ink instaed of just poster paint it should come up really well, i reckon.
