Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OUCH! - hate to be there on a night like this.

Reckon Pats will win 2 or 3-0 and the other game will be tight but I feel Derry might scrape it.

Linfeld get a seriously dodgy penalty to go 3-1 up with 4 to go in Windsor Park.

    Gwan Linfield!

We got lucky to get 3-3

outplayed by a more organised team for most of the game, starting to see how the good nordies play now, they not that good just well organised and discilplined. Kinda makes our football negligent. Ryan made 2 blunders to gift them 2 goals and dempsey tackled someon giving glens other player the ref a reason to give a peno.

We stole a point tonight but we were robbed by the ref so many times it was unreal, theres a handball at 80 mins that laughable....now

Fighting afterwards between pats fans and the police, at 3-1 down most of the kids left to confront the Glens fans at full time their were more pats fans outside then were in the shed  Police ehh ensured a happy ending for all concerned ;)

we have a problem with this little ***** and its getting bigger each season, i dont hide behind anything and try to blame someone else like other fans do, police/club need to nip this **** in the bud. baton charge them everytime they fart and they will soon **** off.

    +1.

Apparently a kid lost an eye after some "casuals" appeared outside Tolka park after the Shels/Dundalk game on Friday night.

These "casuals", who are nothing to do with either club, but do "work" under the banner of another club have been hanging around Tolka, on the Grace Park Road, after games for at least a year now, but the Gardaí do absolutely nothing about it.

There is nothing either club can do about this particular situation imo, they aren't anywhere near the club they associate themselves with, Shels can't do anything about groups of teenagers hanging aound a fair bit away from the ground either.

    It's up to the Gardaí.

FFS, some cúnt in a Stone Island tried to start on me outside Zaytoon in Temple Bar a couple of Friday's ago when he spotted my Shels Pin badge on the collar of my coat. He told me he was Rovers and just after "fúcking up" a "Bohs cúnt" on O'Connell Bridge. Idiot.

Was about 1800 there last night:

    600 glens
    1200 pats

towards the end about 200 bebo kids left and outside somehow there was about 400 of them, most not in the game and rest missed our late goals.

Police baton charged them after they threw a bottle at the stewards, glens fans got out ok but i have to wonder why they werent kept in for 20 minutes. AIL wont happen unless our clubs can gaurantee safety and we let them out to early imo.

Should keep them in and clear the streets then let them out when the bebo kids have gone.

Bohs casuals, no doubt. They are at it all over the place.

I'm not singling out Bohemian FC here, but that is who these **** are associating themselves with.

I wonder was there any trouble outside Windsor last night, things got pretty heated on the pitch, I just wonder if it spilled over.

Yeah, i was at the Pats match and at the end i was waiting at the bus stop. I could see the bus and thought, grand, i'll get this before they let the Glentoran fans out. But the bus was stuck in traffic as the police cordened off the road and let the Glentoran fans out (too early in my opinion). There was a stand-off between both sets of fans and i realised the coaches to bring the away fans home were right behind me. So there i was, wearing my Pats hat in the middle of this sea of Glentoran fans as they all sing God Save The Queen and No Surrender To The IRA. I could just see an episode of Casualty starting up with me as the main star. But i just said nothing and thankfully nothing happened. There wasn't even any comments towards me. I think they were just focused on the large group of Pat's supporters at the corner.

In regards to the match. I don't know who was worse, Pats or the ref. When their keeper was taking the goal-kicks, their striker, Hamilton i think it was, was standing about ten yards off side and ran back and collected the ball direct from the goal-kick and wasn't flagged. And yeah, that handball with a few minutes to go was a joke.
For some reason, the papers have been giving Gary Dempsey decent reviews but i thought he was awful last night and against Sligo on friday.

Please, do us all a favour. When the Pats schooligans attacked Rovers fans in Inchicore last season you were on the net blaming everyone other then them. IIRC it was other Pats fans took you to task over it.

Desf doubt it was bohs fans more likely just kids from the area.

You mean when i posted a youtube video of your fans running riot down the street? Obviously i got actors in paid them to do it the video is still on youtube along with last nights one of the pats fans, cant access youtube in work but search for videos posted by kdjac. I find with all rovers whinging about how it never happened, its best to video it usually shuts them up.

Monkey you cant be offside from a goal kick :) Dempsey was crap fahey was crap they not strong enough to be centre mids, their number 6 bossed the both of them, could do with gibson in there :(

Are you sure about that off-side rule from the free kick? I was actually thinking that may be the case at the time cos this was just too obvious

We aren't saying nothing happened, we are saying that you are the only person who doesnt squarely blame sections of Pats support/locals for causing the bother. Who won the subsequent fight is irrelevant.

You can't demand that the cops bash Pats fans who start fights with Glentoran and 'blame' Rovers when the same thing happens and say things like you don't hide behind this and blame others that.

BTW, who puts clips of their own fans fighting on youtube?

Of course Rovers have a problem with scumbag "fans".

    Most clubs do.

Hopefully something can be done to stamp this out when we move to Tallaght as I don't want a few hundred more of these "fans".

You are going to have to try a lot harder than that. When Rovers misbehave I will criticise.

Do I take it that you line is that Pats fans acting up against Glentoran is bad, but when they do it against Rovers its somehow different?

No. If you have footage of fans acting up and your intention is to have them punished, the footage should be turned over to Pats and or the Gardai. Not adding to the hoolie-porn on youtube.

Just out of interest, did someone ask you to do this or did you take it upon yourself?

    UCD don't, strangely.

I think you'll find the idiots spell it Tallforina and then paint it in quite big letters on one of the main roadsigns as you're coming in to Tallaght.

Sometimes I'm ashamed to say I'm from the place :(

If you were simply handing this footage over to the relevant authorities, yes. (Are you?). I see no reason for you to be placing this footage on youtube if your stated aim is to have these fans dealt with.

With respect Kdjac, you are drowning here.

You claimed you never deny it when Pats cause problems. You did just that last season, and appear to still be doing so. However laudible your notions, you have immediatly lost credibility when other pats fans readily acknowledge the trouble was caused by your fans and hangers on.

Then we establish that you are putting hoolie flicks on youtube to name and shame, despite them not being suitable for the purpose.

This thread hasnt gone well for you, has it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 213 ✭✭pogcica

OHNOYOUDIDNT This thread went the same way as most others you get involved in(downhill into a big cow pat) I was hoping to get some good insight about these two ties from the teams respective fans and was enjoying reading it until you hijacked it with your bitter nonsense, (Kdjac your just as bad for encouraging him) I cannot understand why you even mentioned the Shams as they were not playing and nobody else mentioned them in relation to the trouble after the Pats game, Maybe you could start your own thread about who,s hoolie fans are the best/worst and they rest of us could then decide to read/post in it.

Sorry about the rant but i live far from home and count on you guys to keep me up to speed on the eircom league/setanta games
