new thread as per buffybot's advice :-)

want to know which is the best route to go if i wanted to go working in america for, literally a new experience in life. i am 30, my friends did it on j1 in 2000, but i didn't go with them, hence haven't had that experience.

at the moment i am a registered student but haven't gone to the lectures since before Christmas and have been working part time and living off savings.
