Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How do I enable the feature that auto inserts the email address in outlook 2003, I have imported the address book from Outlook 2000. At the moment you can see the addresses in the contacts tab but it will not insert them when you go to compose a mail.

    Any help appreciated.

I think the feature you are talking about is whats sometimes called the buddy list.
This list does not come from your contacts, it grows every time you send an email.
For example if you send an email to support@microsoft.com then send it, next time you come to compose an email pressing "s" will display the address.
As time goes by the list gets bigger and bigger but if you then export all your emails to another machine, this list does not get transferred.

If you have been using a machine that you have used this list on browse to
    c:\Documents and settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

There will be a file called xxxx.nk2.
xxxx will be what ever your profile name is within outlook, so if your profile is called Work Exchange then the file will be called
    Work Exchange.nk2
Copy this file to the same location of the new pc and ensure that the name if it matches your profile name within Outlook. If on the new machine your profile is simply called outlook rename the file too outlook.nk2

Obvioulsy if the old machine used outlook 2000 then this file will not exist.

Go to the contacts section. If you've imported the address book into anything other than the default 'Contacts', then copy them over into it.

If they are in there and it still isn't showing, rightclick 'Contacts' in the top left, then go to Properties->'Outlook Address Book'. Tick the 'Show this folder as an email address book' option.
