Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Windows MCE System Recovery Problems

    Hi there

Did a stupid thing over the weekend - turned off my sony viao n11s/w with XP Media Center Edition 2005 when it was half way through booting up.

When I turned it back on i was brought to the safe mode - safe mode with command prompt etc etc screen and no matter what option i chose, it brought me back to the same screen.

I had a windows xp professional disc handy, which i used to boot the pc from and i tried a fixmbr and a fixboot from the repair console. that made no difference. just went back to the safe mode etc options again and was stuck in the same loop.

Then I found the windows xp mce disc, and I used that instead to boot up the pc, but instead of giving me the option of going to the repair console, it brought me to a blue screen listing my partitions and giving me the options of

    a) set up windows xp on the selected item, press enter
    b) to create a partition in the unpartitioned space, press c
    c) to delete the selected partition, press d

Neither of these options seemed very helpful.

Has anyone got any suggestions for me? This is my work laptop and I´m really struggling without it.

    Regards.
