Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fair play to the guy. I couldn't have less sympathy for the dead guy.....knife criminals = s.cum of the earth.

    The gun story, I suppose.

Al, do you know the UCI in The Lock?

Well, there's a large electrical retailers located close to it, I used to work in there when I was in college, and for a bit after.

Every evening at about 5/5.30 half the staff would disappear into the Plex for their break before the rest headed off, and they stayed for the late shift.

Anyway, one evening two toerags arrived in, one with a gun, the other with a knife. I was standing by one of the tills, so they singled me out, put the gun to my head and told me to "open the effing tills". So I did (I ain't no Martial Arts practicing Neil). Meantime, the other lad held a knife to the throat of one of the girls shouting that he's "cut" her if they got no money.

It was all over in about two or three minutes, but I fairly shat myself.

    Funny thing though.

The lad with the gun. You know what he was wearing to cover his face?

    A Liverpool FC Scarf.

    :D

I'd have done the exact same thing you did. Hand to hand and weapon are two totally different ballgames. When a gun is the weapon its a totally different thing altogether.

Fair play Des, you got out of that alive and the girl didn;t get stabbed. Thats a succesful handling of the situation in my book.

Though this story about a UFC fighter being held at gunpoint last week did emerge the other day and made me :): Link

Anyone remotely familiar with DNS would know exactly where you are talking about. Bit of dodgey spot. Didn't that young lad get knifed a few years back outside UCI all over a mobile? And I can't tell you the amount of times you see 'trouble' if you're up bowling in the place next door.

Anyone else see this Diesel Ad (probly NWS). Brillant.

So it'll happen for ya eventually.

If you could take the face of the first one, and the bewbs of the second, you would have something close to 3.gif perfection.

KaG and Rebel, I feel the pain brothers. I have a 1st class degree and a Masters, and I am struggling to find work. Damn recession 2.gif

Just watching The Verdict with the old man at the moment. My god, Paul Newman was a savage actor. Anyone else here see it?
