Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's been times I've driven to Swords or Newry to see a movie that wasn't going to be in Dundalk or was taken out after a week of screening. It's a dump and I can't wait for some competition - and that's the problem, they are the only cinema in town so they can do what they like

Not for long. There's a new cinema being built beside the icedome apparently.

    Also, morning all.

    Morning gents.

Lads, this thread isn't winning in the voting.

I hope none of you regulars voted for that bleedin' Premiership Picks thread.

I voted for this thread, as well as nominate it and give it a 5 star rating! I've done all I can!

I hate driving a long distance to see a movie. luckily my local cinema is quite big and usually has what i need!
I never know what is going on in this place because I just look at my subbed threads - what's this about winning and voting?

    Done and Done.

I should really browse the forums some time - or use the front page more. Have my bookmark set to my subbed folder so just bounce around the threads I normally post in, here, the Man U thread and a couple of gaming ones.

All of the Coen brothers films are like that. Its a certain type of black comedy that you either love or hate (or you get it or you don't). Personally I thought the last 2 mins of dialogue was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

I thought it looked ok but some of the friends said its one of the worst films theyv seen?

I went as part of a group of 5 and 3 loved it, 2 thought it was ok.

How's everyone doing? Came in to college early to get an assignment done for 12. I just ended up not giving a sh*t and putting in negative amounts of effort.

    Oh sigh, mondays....

EDIT : Anyone that didn't vote this thread as best thread on the board is lightweight pencil pushing f***face... God bless entourage... =P

    She isn't "fit".

I hate that word by the way.

    Such an "English" word.

The actual phrase, to be used by Irish people, is "she's a roide".

Anyone hate Coldplay I know I do, but , I was reading a review yesterday of their new "bonus EP album" , and poster described it as the following :

"Skimming the dregs of a bag of sh!t."

    It made me chuckle.

Let's start a conversation with Charlie somehow using only his ability to thank a post as communication.

Charlie really is a lurker. I reckon what we should do is, we should go into the Newcastle thread and start praising Mike Ashley. Something along the lines of Keegan being a waster and that only Newcastle fans would want him as a manager which is why they never win anything. Yet Ashley saw the problem, brought in a manager to match Newcastle's ambitions, i.e, Joe Kinnear and he has brought them to the lofty heights of just above the relegation zone, where they belong (Newcastle are too good to go down).
Maybe have Mr Alan write the post like only he can, the evil genius that he is. Say that Newcastle fans are probably the worst around and who do they think they are, long live the Cockney Mafia.
If Charlie can resist the temptation to reply, then we may have lost him forever!

Apparently it's handy enough if you plan ahead. I'm thinking of going to the derby with Espanyol in Feb and can apply for tickets now. Pricey though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,677 ✭✭✭Chong

How do you apply though is it through the website , and do you need to be a member?

Be very wary of sites like that Xavi dude, my bro's missus got done by one of them for United tickets.

I was checking the Barca site, and you can become a member (pricey mind - 150 euro) and can buy tickets in advance.

Defo interested in this seems good.

    Lads, this ain't exactly off-topic.

But I do applaud Xavi for the lampard-esque deflection though.
