Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Christ, dodged a bullet there! Sorted what flights i was gonna get home last week, getting connecting ones so had the times nicely sorted in case of delays or anything. All good. Am just packing up now, went looking for my passport, and then started looking for where i had the flight confirmation numbers kept. Thats when i realised i never actually Booked the flights, just looked at them and said id finish it off later! Thankfully they were both still available anyway, so its all good. Prices had risen though, since they're less then a day away.

The Prodigy's Fat of the Land is one of the greatest albums ever made. Then you have Faithless and the like. There's a lot to be said about some dance music. I agree the latest ****e of sticking a hot chick in a video singing bull**** lyrics is pure crap.

Its a very good album alright, but not their best.

and it was the start of them losing their way in a massive way.

I had a lil posse. I just didn't get to go to a movie I was particularly interested in.

Although, the movie we saw, The Hulk, wasn't too bad. It had Ed Norton (:)) on the down side it had Liv Tyler.

It also had Tim roth, which is just bizzare, I thought he only did indie movies?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Well I shant be going anywhere near the Hulk. As I said earlier in this thread it has to be one of the crappiest superheroes ever.

The Dark Knight on the other hand.....

    + 1.

Ed Norton, super actor....you wouldnt like him when he's hungry though!! :pac::pac:

Liv Tyler....woegeous. she adds nothing to anything, keep her quiet and she MIGHT be ok but god dammit a duller person u will not find (cept maybe Ben Affleck (shudders at memories of their shared scenes))

Tim Roth, what a man! He suited the role perfectly IMO.

the film itself is good fun tho isnt it? Except why o why does the Hulk have to grow 3 times in bodysize?

Because if he didn't he'd just be the incredible green man?

The movie ("film" hehehehe) was ok. I went to see Iron man and I think I enjoyed that more.

I'm getting a bit tired of all these superhero movies. You all better be on hand to discuss Mamma Mia! when it comes out :p

I bet you secretly love it :)

I know lots of guys who watch SATC. I personally hate it, but know from experience that there are alot of girls like that out there, so you guys could learn alot from it.

    less of the homophobia guys!

I don't know why you can't just embrace it for what it is.

How many of you have dragged your girlfriends to "guy movies"

The last "movie" we went to see was In Brugges. And it wasn't as if I had to drag her either, she fancies the arse off Colin Farrell.

    It's a quality film too.

I believe the film Gone Baby Gone is pretty good, anyone seen it?

It was a bit anti-american but I liked it.

The irony of Irish people making fat jokes about Americans though.

Ah come on, a joke or two. Are Americans really that sensitive about their country?
    PSI wrote: »

It's an unfortunate fact that Americans are seen as fat, boorish idiots. Not only in Ireland though.

Irish people are seen as drunk people up for the "craic" and a fight after a few drinks.

It's just the way it is tbh.

    ************

In other news, I love Mundy's Irish language version on The Galway Girl (Cailín na Gaillimhe).

It annoys me that Colleen is a girls name. It means "girl" for jaysis sake.

true enough. I just know the first thing ill notice when i get home is that being fit and healthy looking is the exception rather then the norm.

No, but it gets boring after a while.

I did enjoy the Spurs joke btw, I think we were the only ones in the whole movie theatre who understood that part.

Well what I meant was, from my observations, Irish are getting very overweight. It was nearly 5 years between my last two visits to your country and I was shocked at the difference when I visited for the holidays last year, especially the girls (considering the "fashion" in Ireland).

It annoys me that Colleen is a girls name. It means "girl" for jaysis sake.
It is a very popular name here. I know an african american girl named colleen, she loved it when she found out it was Irish.
