Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't think I'd be able for Glastonbury way way to big, have been to the Picnic for the past 3 years and loved it.
Some day though I really must get my a$$ to either Wacken/Hellfest/Download.

ah yes - candi staton ft. the source.

    Wat a night! :D

    boyzone-400.jpg

ahhhh no, not my kind of music-but it was a bit of craic, they're decent lads.

Plus.....i've been to a looootttttttt of gigs, but there is nothing like the noise 50,000 girls screaming, ****ing hell.

Boyzone? The Torres lusting?!!!! What's going on??

Saw Jay Z on the BBC earlier. I thought he was sh!te. Not into the old hip-hop have to say. He just got a dj to play tracks by U2, Estelle etc and started talking ****e over them. Each to their own, i suppose.

Important question..............is it wrong to miss the European Championship final tomorrow and see El Nini cover himself in glory by winning it for Spain to go and see Neil Young??? I'm in a dilemma here!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

its not ideal, but neil young is pretty special.

first concert i ever went to was Neil Young.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

ok, so there seems to be a lot of grunge/metal/that type or lark, fans around these parts...well heres my contribution to that "genre"

although i do prefer this version! ;)

Jesus, i hate Ryan Adams. That lad is pure crap. Getting famous by making a video containing the twin towers three days before they are toppled is not conducive to talent, i'm afraid!!
Good luck to him for exploiting that tragedy if that's how he wants to make it, but i couldn't a sh!t about his nonsense

Not a bad cover Al, who is it?

The link for the first one is broken, allow me:

Some day I'll make it. What one/s were ya at?

On that cover of 'Down in a Hole', I don't like it.
Alice In Chains for me is all about Layne Staley's voice and that album 'Dirt' is just superb.

emmmm monkey, the lad had made at least 3 albums before "gold" which contains the "new york, new york" song.

    he is great.

    end of discussion.
Not a bad cover Al, who is it?

its Ryan Adams And The Cardinals

That guitar that plays the same way over and over again gets a liccle bit annoyin! imo. Not the fact its the same its how it sounds. Each to their own I suppose.

Have seen Ryan Adams live over here, not a fan I would have to say but the tickets were free so can't complain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

    you live in Liverpool right?

were you at the infamous gig where he was out of it and fell off the stage breaking his arm?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 41,926 ✭✭✭✭_blank_

Me sister was at 'Zone too.

Who's going to see Neil Young?

Go to the chicken van and say hi to IB!

I'm off out to do the Boards Podcast so make sure to listen when it's uploaded.

    And...come on SPAIN!!

Wow, for some reason i had completely forgotten about that band! Live! I had a few of their albums back when I was at school. are they still going?

Don't think they are still going but Throwing Copper is a great album. That's their best song I reckon but there's plenty more really good ones.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,283 ✭✭✭gucci

Alice in Chains are so good. Have you got that unplugged dvd? I have the CD and its class, practically wore it out playing it when i got it. Probably my favourite unplugged show (do they make that anymore? Should bring it back for a while!)
I sort of feel uncomfortable watching the show live because Layne looks so ill.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 686 ✭✭✭corcaighcailin9

I'm ready for the possibility that I fckud up that link but came across this song recently. It's more up my street than what's been mentioned around here of late :p
