Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think anyone who actually WANTS the job should automatically not be allowed to have the job, and maybe should also lose a limb for their feckless enthusiasm. I also think that we should re-jig AH into a forum dealing exclusively with how cool smoking and drinking is, world war 2 documentaries in German with no subtitles and asian porn. Just like my sitting room.
We should remove all Mods, bomb Spain and somebody goddamn well better make me a sandwich before I get really cranky.
Actually, its these tight boxers I am wearing that are making me cranky.
    Tight boxers for mod!
    Its bollock crunchin time.

The soggy kind. Make one and see if you like it. If you do then you'll be the new AH mod.

    Must post pics though.

I studied for 3 weeks and still failed that test. Has anybody got an answer sheet?
Pfft! The actual question sheet is just a red herring, you just have to fall on your knees before Amp and <snipped by order of teh Leader>
    How about randylonghorn

6th is better as a user, moderation would turn him into a twisted, evil individual (even moreso than he is now!). I'd say biko, if he lets some Dublin threads slide every once in a while :)., randylonghorn, he is around enough and a sensible sort, which is needed sometimes and wildcard goes to netwhizkid. Only a couple hundred days and he will return.
Wow! Just wow, tbh! Mucho surprised and mucho complimented!

Honestly though, I'm not so sure I would be a great choice; I'd probably do fairly ok most of the time, but one too many "Bigotry for evah!" threads and the steam would start coming out my ears! And while I lose my temper seldom enough, when I do people have been known to get their eyebrows singed! :D

Also, I tend to agree with nesf ... someone with a bit more experience might be a better idea. I suppose I've done similar enough stuff in RL, but not on the web. Oh ... and I am technologically cack-handed! ... perfectly capable of going to delete a post and ending up deleting all of AH instead!! I know the experts would probably say that's impossible, but just give me modutils and see what's impossible!! :D

Names which would strike me from those mentioned would be MonkeyFudge, AlmightyCushion, WindSock, Faceman, Nightwish, possibly DesF, I haven't bumped into him much.

Sorry, 6th ... while I actually do think you could be a good mod, not of AH ... you would give yourself an ulcer in no time. I also think The-Rigger could make a good AH mod, but maybe not as a replacement for nesf in the team.

Anyway, while obviously if the team did feel I was a good choice I would take it as a huge compliment and give it serious thought, I'm not at all sure I'm the best person for the job.

I cant think of anyone worthy of the prize. But then there never was anyone worthy of the prize.

Maybe Chairman Mao or Sid Vicious.

But Mao owes me one so he doesnt get my vote here.

Ok I promise to let a few Dublin threads slide if I'm chosen Ruu and Bambi :)
Sure all the most interesting things happen in the big smoke anyway*

The myth that elephants are scared of mice actually has some facet of truth in it - elephants have brilliant eyesight but their major blindspot is underneath them. So anything that's small enough to fit beneath their humungous bodies and out of their direct line of sight will freak them the holy heeby jeebies out of them.

    Just you remember that...

If I was any good at Photoshopping and whatnot I'd come up with a witty poster at this point. But I'm not, so I won't. You will get a yay! though:

    I'D say 6th,

Also Snyper tends to hit on people when he likes their posts

I'd volunteer for the job but knowing my luck I'd either get everyone on Boards arrested or killed or, more logically, kill the internet and thus dooming the western world..........for a certain period of time anyways.

(Hmmm, I suppose I should stop mentioning that on my C.V.)

I'd volunteer, but I've seen the light.

To think, the only reason I was put here was because I made an off-hand comment to you about "what I'd do with the place if I had control of it".
