Just curious about this. What happens when you report a post ... for example for personal abuse of someone etc?

The moderator(s) of the forum get an email with the details of the report.

There is also a "Reported Posts" forum - when a post is reported, a thread is automatically created in that forum with the details of the report. All moderators have access to this forum.

If you're worried about using the feature to report moderators, then PM a mod directly. In reality, it's not a problem if you report a mod and they can see it.

    Thanks for the reply.

I wasn't thinking of reporting a mod ... God forbid!!! ... just wondering how the system worked.

One more quickie ... is there a way to check if any action has been taken on the reported post?

    Thanks in advance,
    G23

    Nope. :)

Reported posts are often not actioned. Many reports come in along the lines of "This user is being rude", or "I don't think this bad language would be appropriate for 10 year old children", which we tend to ignore.

You can guarantee that every report is seen by someone, but if you're really concerned about a report not being followed up, PM the mod and they can let you know what if anything they've decided to do.
