    This is the chin-strap on my brodie.
    Just wondering can anyone one make out the faded writing.

    I am afraid the writing is very faded. Can't make anything out on that pic. Maybe you can try and use different directions of light etc.? Or even UV light. Not sure if it will work though.

    Been messing around with the image in photoshop and I cant make anything of it I'm afraid. As Preusse suggested, maybe try lighting from different angles.

    I can see an 'M' anyway :rolleyes: guess its a start.

    Thaks for the replies lads,
    I was thinking HUGHES?
    But this could be as a result of staring at it too long.
    Does anyone have a contact number for C.S.I. Cork ;)
    There is also something before that but it's almost invisible.

    I think you are correct. Hughes is a very likely candidate. It would fit with a possible misreading of letters e and s as numbers 89 and 69.
