Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm trying to re-install Windows 98 on an old packard bell machine. The PC originally came with Win98 but I took it off for linux. Anyway, when I reinstall 98, I boot up and it goes setting up personal settings for IE 4 but then it freezes and wont budge? Whats a guy to do?

    Thanks

Did you format the HDD before reinstalling Win 98?

Yep I selected quick format on the install disk. Any idea what the 'OS only' options for? Does that just mean there'd be no calculator, MS Word or apps?

copy the media to c:\win98 and run the install from there
that way you'll find out if the cd is scratched
delete the folder with CS3 and all that other crap in it too

had a look last night but couldn't find the modified .inf file that allows you to install without IE4 , it's not 98lite but something similar
