    Just north of Skerries.

I'm guessing that you're somewhere in the vicinity of Howth.

my internet connection is a bit sporadic so apologies for delays in responding
feel free to ask me questions if that helps work out where i am
then i will give some more clues

Hi, I'm going to kinda give away my location now. Today we went looking for two birds - a pair of choughs - rare for where i am but they returned last week and breed here successfully last year (for the first time in a LONG time)! Needless to say we didn't find them, but they are in the locality so we'll keep an eye out. We did see two buzzards, lots of hooded crows and a raven while we were looking. If you need another clue, it's in the very first post. This place is notable for what isn't here as well as what is here - no foxes ... or badgers, or hedgehogs, or squirrels. Of course, the bird most associated with where I am hasn't arrived here yet, got to wait another month or so for that.

yes, though i havent seen any this trip
also sparrow hawk, long eared owl, barn owl, and visiting hen harriers and on rare occassions a golden eagle has been seen - more likely from the mull of kintyre but also poss from glenveigh, i think there was a merlin around last week and as i mentioned before there are quite a lot of buzzards for a small place! the buzzards have been v low over the house and garden which has been great.
