Well that is the cheapest online. I'd still say yours could make up to 1500 there or there abouts.

yea i was kinda pitching it at the boyracer ppl, the fact its black i think will help in the price!! also miles are fairly good for a car its age!! did a carzone look there and theres a load of them for sale:(, the asking price really swings though

Could i test you here, I am drawing up an ad to try and sell my car.
Which one would most likley catch your eye.

    05 xxx 56k miles, 10250 euros.ono
    05 xxx 56k miles, 9995 euros.ono
    05 xxx 56k miles 9850 euros.ono

If my bottom line is actually 9500 euros, which price do you think would be more inclined to make you respond.

    The lowest one?

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,157 ✭✭✭✭Alanstrainor

+1 to that, quite obviously the lowest one would grab your attention!

  • Registered Users Posts: 594 ✭✭✭jonnygee

Thanks for that, I think myself the lowest one is best to go with.

Anybody got some feedback on my Saab? 100k miles. Really want to sell and buy a BMW coupe, I figure now is the time when the market is at - or - near rock bottom.

Very clearly state's it's a three door, and it's a five door in the pics. I'm sure a learner driver would pay 1250-1500 for it. There's always a market for the small, clean, 1litre car with power steering.

It's winter, it's an 11 year old, 2.0 petrol convertible, leisure car. It's going to be a hard sale. Car looks lovely, clean and all that. But if you have any hope in selling i'd be bringing the price down a bit. At the same time, there could be a lad looking for one, will to pay the money. It doesn't matter what they are advertised for, it's what they're selling for.

Lovely car btw, best of luck with the sale.

I have an 05 focus 1.6 and to be honest I cant make my mind up whether to try and sell it privatley or not, some days it is for sale and the next day it is not. I have this week put it in a local advertiser for sale, as it is free ad,s.
I really do want someone to buy it off me but deep down i realise that the chances of anyone turning up with a bagfull of money at the present time is pretty remote.
The question that i want to ask is whether or not i should spend money to advertise it on autotrader or carzone as i am not sure if people will really travel countrywide to buy a car. Would i be throwing good money after bad, would "YOU" travel to Donegal to look at a focus, regardless of how good that i say it is, or should i just stick with the local free ad,s

    Glad to be of service.
Focii is a word that is well known in the Queens english now, refers to multiple ford focuses. Google "ford focii" and you will get 3400 returns.

    "ford focii" 122 pages
    "ford focuses" 27,000 pages
    "ford focus" 10,700,000 pages

Advertise your car in the Evening Herald - you'd be amazed at the amount of genuine buyers who still look for a car there!
