With the emergency budget coming along people will only be forced ino buying black market items such as beer cigaretes etc etc.

their talking about adding another 2euro to ciggies, so whose going up north?

  • Registered Users Posts: 585 ✭✭✭HugoIrl

This budget is gonna be such a hammering, its just forcing people to leave ireland to find better deals.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,181 ✭✭✭aynon

they need to talke a leaf out of obamas book, spend it to make it. get bussiness to come to ireland, employ, then you got tax. apparently the "social assistance fund"(dole) will be empty by years end, spend some of that on getting ppl to come to ireland.

  • Registered Users Posts: 585 ✭✭✭HugoIrl

Definitely agree with you there, you gotta spend money to make money. I heard there was a theory going around if every person in Ireland gave one weeks wages/dole payment to the government it would clear all national debt and we would be back on track.

Of course, this wouldn't happen. The governemt would give themselves another payrise & massive bonus and to celebrate will give themselves another nice 12 day holiday!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 585 ✭✭✭HugoIrl
