I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where abouts I should be lookin to stay. (or not to stay as the case may be) Any help would be great.
    Cheers everyone.

Where do you live now? There's a shuttle bus from the train station @ Louise Bridge, Leixlip (on the Connolly to Maynooth/Sligo line) that brings you to Intel. There's also a f*ck load of new houses. Get one at the nearest the Maynooth side of the lot, to get a quick walk to Intel.

Hi thanks for the reply, sorry I really should have mentioned im living in galway at the moment. This was the first thread iv started so you'll have to bare with me a little. Would you happen to know any of the estates around there?

Leixlip is nice place to live. You could live in Oaklawn, Oaklawn close or Oaklawn close all near train station. Castletown not to far away either. Louisa park/manor beside trin station about 10-15 minute walk from village. There are a few grand pubs in the village and a few nice restaurants. Nightlink available out of town so you can go in to socialise. Cinema complex located in liffey valley shopping centre serviced by 66 bus.

Sounds good thanks for the info ill have to look into those places so. Lookin forward to it now. Are those places also close to Intel?

Yes. Also, Oaklawn is near the train station, and thus near the shuttle bus.

I plotted a "route" where Intel is located here, so that you have a fair idea where Intel is.

Stay clear of Loughnamona. The place usually has a house or two boarded up: not the best place to live in.

As you drive, Maynooth is good for due to the amount of pubs, and a 24 hour Tescos.

Lucan is also very good, has more buses going to and from it, a few nice pubs, and other stuff (pool hall, etc). Houses North of the Lucan Bypass would be within a stroll of the village (great when drunk).

Bear in mind that Leixlip is very close to Maynooth (4 miles) and Lucan (1 mile). Indeed Leixlip is closer to the centre of Lucan than parts of "Lucan".

Leixlip is a grand spot, but Maynooth might just pip it... the centre of the town is a bit more accessible than the centre of Leixlip is.

Thanks a lot JHMEG, I sem to be focusing my search on Leixlip for the moment but will definately keep Maynooth in mind.
