    Hi CuLT,

If you get around to this, is there any way that you can set the Legal Discussion forum so that only posters with ≥100 posts can post there (and make it read-only to people with <100 posts)?

We're getting a hell of a lot of legal advice threads in there recently, and it looks oppressive to keep a whole lot of locked threads around on the front page [and other similarly persuasive points].

    Thanks hunni.

That should be a setting in vBulletin already IIRC.

Not a development question, that's forum policy etc, I'll forward your request on to Vexorg.

Not that I have any say in these things, but can I oppose this motion?

The main reason being that there are also a lot of people who log onto boards specifically to get advice on college courses, exams and entering the legal professions, and also people who don't want advice but just want to get a recommendation (or a list of options) for solicitors to consult.

As a side point, can you not delete locked threads, or move threads seeking advice to more appropriate fora?

FWIW, this is a bit too much hassle to implement as it involves adding a new usergroup. If you like we could make it like the Soccer system, private forum with access requests? Would want to see what DeV et al thought about it though first.

Mneh, I'm not too sure, the legal advice thing seems to have settled down again.

Maybe it's ok for the moment. Thanks CuLT.

It's tough enough to generate interest as it is, I think the forum would probably die on its feet if we had an invite-only policy.

Perhaps we should decide on what to do with locked threads. I agree that having a tonne of locked threads on the front page looks oppressive and unfriendly.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
