Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its gonna be a bcaks to the wall job for us tonight, thats plain to see, but we have a FANTASTIC defensive record at the moment (something like 4 goals in the last 11 games) i really dont see werder scoring 3.
I do however have that ever so slight worry that if we lose and early goal we could suffer the same fate as spurs and everton last night.:(

I don't mind teams sitting back when they actually play on the break but Rangers are happy to hit the ball out when they get it. Such a fantastic defence under Wattie. I don't know how the players like Ferguson and Adam are happy playing that type of football though. The most negative team in the world that I know of. It gets results but I can honestly say I couldn't bare to watch Celtic play like that in every game against half decent opposition.

Obviously tonight they have their reasons for sitting back but it's rare that I actually watch Rangers this season which is why I'm posting. ;)

Guess who had lemons for dinner :p

Rangers happy to sit back, Werders 2 strikers are woeful and unlikely to score . At this rate can see rangers seeing it out unless Werder stick someone else up front and stop chipping in balls for 6 centre backs to get clear. Goal would liven it up a bit.

    fffffffff....

    That was hard work!
Rangers look extremely nervous on the ball, especially in the first half hour or so, and Diego has made me eat my words a little bit.

But, when we have managed to string a couple of passes together, we have shown that there is a lot of space behind their midfield to run into...hopefully we realise that in the second half.

Alan McGregor is slowly but surely turning into a cracking keeper.

Were half way there (in the words of bon jovi!)
and i suppose you could say were living on a prayer! :o

EDIT: How comical is the missmatch of Novo and naldo!?!?!

The difference between home and away is huge but especially for playmakers it seems. Night and day for the those players.

I think having Borrowski and Almeida in front of him tonight is making a difference as well....theyre a damn good team and I for one will be proud if we hold on tonight...no matter how we do it!:o

Paddy power offering 1-5 nakamura is mentioned in next post.

Diego destroyed Real away in the CL this season.

:D Not only Naka but Owen Garvan of Ipswich might as well be benched when their away from home. At home their the best team in the league to watch because of him.

Could TV3 not have shown the Rangers game? I thought they'd get more viewers for this.

Rangers playing with no striker. Nothing surprises me with Wattie.

kensutz has an Ipswich auto search on boards. :D

    YES!!!!!!
    :D:D:D

We got there, thats all that matters.

We got caught in that horrible european situation of having the chances to go forward but being completely unsure wether or not to take it on.
It wasnt pretty, it wasnt clever...but i really dont give a ****.

Cracking save from Alan Mcgregor to knock that one onto the bar, Amazing goal from Diego....but Carlos Cuellar is KING!!!

We'd need to play them all at the same time to have the same affect as he does when hes on for.

On another note, how bad was fergies passing game tonight? We need him to perform if were gonna go any further...but he had the same kind of game as diego did at Ibrox tonight

Did Lou Macari just say Bolton should prefer to be in the UEFA Cup final rather than stay the premiership...?

    I dunno....
