aiming to bring my 3 sons - under 7- and an aluminium step ladder for about 30 minutes of the parade..if they last that long, aiming to approach from east side around oconnell bridge, would appreciate any tips about locations, in terms of congestion, maybe the side streets on oconnell street, :pac:or around d'olier street,

Are you driving? If so maybe you could try and park in East or North wall and walk up. You could treat the binlids to Milanos on the quays on the way back.

    Kids prefer it to McDonalds.

I saw two dads with small kids last year that had a genius idea. They brought a stepladder each and a long plank of wood between them. They set up the 2 ladders with the plank across them outside of Cassidy's on Westmoreland street and the kids sat along the plank with a great view.
