    Hi all,

    Not sure where to post this but anyway...

    In the Finance Industry - specifically Funds Admin - What do people mean when they say 50 BPS?? What does BPS mean?

    It's just a fancy way of expressing percentages. There are 100 BPS (Basis Points or Base points depending on who you talk to). There are 100 bps in 1%. So 50 bps is 0.5%

    You see it in the news a lot these days with all the central banks cutting their interest rates by x bps.
