Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

XP sp3 issue

I'm trying to install drivers for my external sound card on XP SP3.

It says that my operating system is not supported, because SP3 is not officially released yet and it's obviously looking for SP1 and SP2.

I tried changing the registry values to trick it into thinking it was SP2 but it reverts back when I restart so it's obviously hardcoded into the kernel somewhere....

Anyone have any simple ideas before I go hacking away at it with SoftIce?

if your divers are a single exe file you downloaded try installing winrar and see if you can open it with winrar and extract it contents too a folder
then try to intall the drivers manully (in device manager) and pointing it to that folder

If it is an exe, right click on it and select properties. Then click on the compatability tab and select XP SP2 from the list.
