I'm looking to get a new case for my PC.

Something with good airflow, plenty of space inside ... something screwless with minimum effort involved in adding and removing parts, motherboards, etc ...

Something reasonable (I'm not gonna spend 50 euro and buy ****e, but I'm not spending 450 euro just because the ****e is shiney!)

Is this a waste of 250 euro?

What are the advantages of a motherboard tray over not having one? Is it just that you can screw the motherboard in easier ?

This is the case I currently have.

    Thanks

I won't buy from Dabs.ie due to past issues I've had with them.

As for the €50 .. it's not my limit.. if somethings worth paying more for then I will.

Ideally I'd like a case with as little screws as possible aswell.

    Thanks

MB Tray means it has a Removable Motherboard Tray, makes builds easier sometimes....

but 250 for a case is a lot

Some really good cases that don't cost and arm and a leg... Just an arm :D

Hi random; when you say you want something "with plenty of space inside", what do you mean exactly? Lots of drive bays, space for watercooling, or just enough space to make it easier to fit components??

Any other requirements e.g sound-dampening, front door etc etc etc??

By plenty of space I mean it's nice and easy to install components etc. I'd have maybe 2 DVD drives and maybe 6 hard drives in there.

    No interest in watercooling.

Sound dampening would be nice but not essential.

    Front door - no thanks.

Front speaker port might be useful.

    Side door.

In terms of room to work in, a lot of peeps recommend the Akasa Eclipse. Won't break the bank (when compared to some Lian Lis/Silverstone cases), although you'd have to convert one of the external 5 1/4 drive bays to accomodate one of your hard drives. Also has a side window, and not sure if that's your bag.

The TJ-09, and indeed TJ-07 come highly recommended, but are pricier. Lots of room, and excellent cooling according to reviews though.

Check out some of the Lian Li range too. The PC-70B ticks all your boxes for example, and their build quality is supposed to be excellent.

As already pointed out, the CM Stacker has good ventilation and space, or if you want something funkier looking (with added sound dampening), take a look at the Cosmos, although I think it has a front door.

As for side doors, a lot of decent cases have easily enough removed side panels - just a matter of taking out a few thumb screws.

Let us know what you think of them, and we'll see if we can come up with other suggestions if they don't suit.

    Silverstone Temjin TJ09 Silver
This is very expensive and is only if you need a LOT of room.

If you really need a lot of room, I just bought a Thermaltake va8003bws. Its the size of a small dishwasher, ubers of cooling and looks unreal!

But IMHO I think this case would meet your needs and is only €70:

I'm going to 2nd the Cosmos. A lot of people will say its fugly... which it is, but its the most functional case out there, imo. It will be the next case i'll be buying if I ever get around to getting rid of my P180.

It has a front door but thats only to silence the noise of your optical drives (you aren't going to find a good silencing case that doesn't have a front door) but they've placed the USB and Power button on the top so you don't need to open the door to get access to them.
