Cos there's just something about LPs with P90s. Especially when you know how well made it is :D

If it was gloss black then it'd be nice, not too mad on that stain stuff.

P90's in Les Pauls only look good when it's a black LP Custom, or when its a Jr.

    FACT! :D

    Oh, fact off :p

Doc, can you not see yourself sitting on the porch in a rocking chair, playing that LP and drinking your sippin' whiskey? :pac:

I can see myself doing all sorts of unspeakable things to that guitar... and yes the porch thing too :pac:

It's the country air doing that to him, pay no attention.

I'm definitely going for that black-stained Duke with humbuckers soon! It's gorgeous.

I've gotta say, I will (probably) never buy a poly finished guitar again. Once you get away from it you wonder why the hell every guitar is smothered under a thick layer of the stuff. Guitars shouldn't be plastic.

Polyeurathane isn't too bad, I like that finish. Polyester is a whole other story!

The new bass I'm putting together is finished in Nitro.:):):)

    It's Bacchai. Sheesh.

Nothing like good Bacchus Porn on a Friday. I've been sick for the last few days and had the pleasure of getting to know my guitars for long periods of time. My G Studio has gotten the most play. Amazing guitar. So well made and the pups, Doc you mentioned this before, the pickups are fantastic. Doesn't matter how much you dirty up the amp you can still hear each note.

I call unfact! Goldtops are sexy as hell:

As for stains versus gloss, depends on the guitar. That one the Doc has posted looks gorgeous, particularly because it's more unusual to see a stained LP compared to a gloss finish. I tend to like stains on basses and gloss on guitars but it really does depend on the colour, the build and the wood.

Yup, the black one with the floyd, it coil taps so well, much more so than any humbuckers I've played. It sounds like a Telecaster, seriously - albeit down in B, with the coils tapped. They retain some fatness, not just a weedy twang like a lot of coil tapped humbuckers.

And yeah, it rocks the house with both coils on :D

Not only the house, but the surrounding fields, farms and mountains too. :pac:

A damn monster of a guitar.
