    howehyes?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a towing service?

Basically I had my clutch replaced last week, and it went the next day. unfortunately, the garage is in Drogheda, and the car is now in dublin....

    any thoughts?

Given that it 'went' the next day, will the garage that repaired it not send a recovery truck to recover the car?

I just got a fairly curt "you'll have to get it up here love" sort of response.

I may try to say it to the again tomorrow, but I don't think I'll get very far. I have a feeling that paying to have it towed to Drogheda may overshadow the cost of having a local garage deal with the problem...

    actually, while I'm here....

I had the clutch replaced on my punto, and when I got home, the gear stick suddenly went loose and I lost almost all power in 1st and 2nd, shortly I lost everything else.

any ideas what is going on? cause I don't....

Smiths of Drogheda have a tow truck. Whether they would tow to another garage I don't know, but if they were taking something in to Dublin and coming back empty then they might consider it.

    Otherwise:

I use CW Transport a lot around Dublin - very reasonable. http://www.cwtransport.ie/
Mike Armstrong Cars (Slane) does some transportation. I'd guess his truck is in and out of Dublin all the time - http://www.carzone.ie/car-dealers/Meath/Mike-Armstrong-Cars
