    looking to start driving a motorbike. just wondering what insurance companys out there insure motor bikes and what kind of bike in an A class bike that restricted, so if i do the test i can drive any bike

    i knew that but after that im free to ride what ever bike i would like! looking at an aprilla rs125, are they any use, cheap to insure? has any body got any answers.

    If you intend to do a Category A test, you will require a motorcycle with an engine capacity greater than 125cc. Anything bigger than a moped, with an engine capacity above 50cc, capable of more than 45kph, but less than or equal to 125cc will allow you to take a Category A1 test. If you pass this, you will get a full license to drive any two wheeled motor propelled vehicle with an engine capacity up to or including 125cc.

    Therefore, if you intend to pursue a Category A license (all motorcycles) you should look for a bike with a 250cc engine.

    thanks for your help. i think i will be getting a 125 for a i cant afford a 250. i'll rent the bike of the school of motoring for the test.
