Sorry if I should have posted this in the general broadband thread but I am new to this site so please forgive me!!

Have an Eircom landline, which I want to get rid of, as I rarely use it for either land or mobile calls. Looking at getting wireless broadband - had Digiweb guy out but there is a tree blocking the signal to our house so no go with them. Was looking at Irish Broadband or Eircom - do I need to have a landline for either of these lot?
