Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm going to Galway this weekend (just me and the bf) and I'm looking for things to do during the day other than go to the pub.. We'll have a car so we can venture out of the city if anyone has any nice places of interest to suggest.. Thanks in advance for any info :)

If you have time and the weather is nice, take the boat to the Aran Islands :)

If you've less time and the weather is not to bad, take a spin to Connemara. Walk up Diamond Hill (no to difficult and lovely if the weather is good: http://www.irelandadventures.com/activity.php?id=537).

If you just fancy a spin, take the coast road and check out the wonders of Connemara.

I did Diamond Hill last weekend and really enjoyed it. It is a good climb, but my 7 year old daughter made it, so.....!! I think it is 440 meters high and about 5km long. Problem is the 120 mile round trip from Galway. If this is too long, you can always walk the prom and kick the wall !!

Thanks for all that :) Yeah I might take a trip out to the Aran Islands alright, Greyhounds look like a good option for one of the nights out... Thanks guys :)

Judging by Meteireann.ie the weather isn't to be too good so I won't get my hopes up about hillwalking just yet, but sure you never know...
