    He's Irish, yes.

I've seen scant evidence of the other titles.

Then you should go into hmv or any music shop and have a look, there's four albums worth of evidence to have a look at and listen to

    I have heard his stuff.

I meant that I've heard scant evidence to suggest that he's a 'singer' or a 'songwriter'. :p

    I like his stuff.

dunno why everybody always tears into por auld damo.
at least he's singing in his own voice for feck sake. how many other drawling feckers are there out there puttin on crappy american accents while singin! myself included.

I think he is ahead of his time, and it will be only in years to come, when we've lost all irish-ness that we'll realise how important damo and the lieks are.

like, he can be rough. i mean, some of the vocal s on seize the day hit notes that made your face cringe. but ya hae to listen for the good parts and the melody.

hes getting better all the time.

    ahh well.:pac:

Quality musician. Haven't really listened to his first album, but latter albums have been brilliant. The man is to be respected even if his music isn't to your tastes. His lyrics can be quite simplistic at times, but there are some lyrical gems in there. True inspiration for young Irish musicians and appeals to a wide range of Irish society.
Bashers can go off and listen to their McDonalds music.

Don't care much for his stuff, but I don't begrude the guy his hard work and success.

He's playing in December I think, woo! But I'm not mad about the covers album thing he brought out, he should stick to his own stuff! Do you think he is a good singer? Like do you like his voice? I wonder if his songs would be more or less popular if he didn't sing in an accent.

I've heard he is going to stop gigging for a year. Can this be true?

I like the trad album, more people share the fondness now. :)

I think he's excellent. Hope its not true about him giving up gigging. I was intending to go see him over the next couple of months. I'd better get a move on.

Give a muppet a bottle of Jemmy and a record deal and we have earaches all around.

Putrid to say the least, i'd sooner go through root canal without the anesthetic than have to listen to what he tries passing off as music!

Went to see him last night, he was fu<kin brilliant!!:D:D
