    Just a note...

I got a lower back tattoo for my never-mind-what birthday present to myself. Nobody told ME about the "tramp stamp" thing, but the birthday is SO extremelly never-mind-what that, frankly, it's all good.;)

I chose lower back for two reasons:

    a) It's just about the last part of the body where skin starts to sag however extreme the birthdays get in future, and NOTHING looks worse than a sagging tattoo.
    b) Nobody knows it's there UNLESS I WANT THEM TO.

It is only little (30 minutes) and it DID hurt, but only as much as a particularly intensive electrolysis session in a rather weird place.

    Neat idea...

    EXCEPT...

VERY hard to examine when trying to find obscure streets on a dark night...

    :)

(Visions of stripping to waist and using powder compact and torch ingeniously spring to mind).

I love my little tatt...everybody thinks I am joking till I show them. :D

aare: well done hope you enjoy it.

the link davey posted about the map of hannover. Would be great if she lived there with an arrow of her house, so if you ever went back to her place (and bumped uglies) you'd be able to find out where you were and how to get home! :D

Last summer, when I was at antenatal classes in a Dublin hospital, the midwife giving the class said that the Anaesthesiologist was unlikely to give an epidural if there is a tattoo in the region... so never mind the pain of getting the tattoo done - think about giving birth without an epidural!!
