Problem with eircom broadband

Just got eircom broadband installed on Tuesday. I plugged in the filter yokes and the connection was working fine. I only realised today that the filter plugged into the telephone was blocking the telephone connection. I tried the other filter which was plugged into the netopia modem to rule out the possibility of a fault…

Just got eircom broadband installed on Tuesday.
I plugged in the filter yokes and the connection was working fine.

I only realised today that the filter plugged into the telephone was blocking the telephone connection. I tried the other filter which was plugged into the netopia modem to rule out the possibility of a fault with the filter. I also tried different telephone cables,sockets and telephones with no sucess.
The internet connection also seems to be going down quite a lot,most likely due to the interference from the telephone?

Anyone have any ideas before ringing eircom tomorrow?

Sounds to me like you might have the telephone and DSL lines in the wrong sides of the filter.
