Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So when are RTE rolling out nationwide services? My sister was purusing the Argos doortstop and spotted the DAB selection, I said she should forget investing in DAB friendly radio for the time being.

    Mike.

    Mike.

What about a combined DAB/FM radio to cover all the bases? I have two and they are the biz!

Is it possible to buy a radio that is DAB/FM *and* Internet?

I've only seen DAB/FM sets and Internet sets. Not all three together.

Can I receive any BBC channels on DAB in Dublin?

    This link answers my question:

    http://www.digitalradio.ie/radio_stations.htm

Guess I need an internet radio then.

    Thanks.

    D.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I've always been a Roberts fan (listening on one right now, in fact), so I'll probably go for that one.

Where are the best Roberts dealers in Dublin?

Also, what's the best program to use for listening to radio on my desktop PC?

    TIA.

    D.

Maybe the OP can re-post the yet-newer versions of these URLs, since RTE seems to think it's such a fscking jape to change them, and thus break every internet radio receiver in the country, on average every ten bloody days.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Is there a valid reason for RTÉ to keep doing this?

Yes there is a valid reason this happens.

Those streams that are posted above were test streams for internal RTE assesment. None of the rights or regulatory guidelines had been agreed for them. But they were leaked and they found their way onto the reciva and radio frontier platforms (the directory your internet radios connect to to get the station lists and updates.)
These stations have now been removed untill such a time as the regulatory framework is put in place for these new streams.

The long and short of it is that they should never have been in the public domain in the first place and you only had them by chance.
Lets hope its not too long untill they appear legitimately again.

Hope this clears up the confusion.
