Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Saw an ad in the paper, Dixons/Pc World are selling Macbooks for e949 with a free copy of Office for Mac08. Seems to me a killer deal. Think it's a limited offer. No specs provided but I'd assume it's the lowest spec.

There's OpenOffice for Mac as well, and it's free.

only a couple of months ago when in PC World they only had an old spec, 2 specs behind the current one available at the time, maybe they're trying to get rid of the old 1.83 Mhz stock, didn't even have Leopard installed, would explain how they're underselling Apple

Almost €1000 is underselling a computer! We must be on different planets!

We probably are, Apple has always been a different planet from the PC market, seems very unusual for any supplier to be underselling Apple by a couple of hundred if you include the wholesale cost of Mac Office 08.

Maybe I'm wrong and it's the latest spec, just saying the Dixonx/Pc World group had a lot of old stock to shift only a short while ago.
