Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

gears of war lan problems

    right, not sure if this is the right place at all, but not sure where else to put it....

    was at my friends gaff there the other night, and we had a 2 console system link party goin. were playing halo for a while and switched then to gears of war. only problem is, when i hosted the game, the other console wouldnt pick it up. and when the other one hosted it, i couldn connect because "our versons of the game and updates differed"

    now i had extra map packs saved, but i deleted them and still the same problem. any ideas?

    When you update your game, it also updates your saved game plus any downloads. So if you're on LAN and 1 of them is not updated, you need to delete all the files and then clear your cache. To do this go to the system blade on the Xbox 360 dashboard. Then go to memory. Highlight your Hard Drive or memory unit and press "Y". Then when you move to the next screen press "X, X, RB, LB, X, X" and press yes. If you do this on both to be sure, you'll be able to connect to each other.

    Of you could just update both games before going on LAN.

    And yes, you're in the wrong forum.

    Have there been any patches for the game? If so you or your mate could have to download them.
