Anyone taken Net+ recently?

Hi,
Im sitting Net+ in a month and just wondering if anyone has sat it recently and if so could they offer any advice on what to study etc? Ive got the SYNGRESS Network+ N10-003 study guide and am currently reading through it (yawn) but just wondering if anyone can offer me any advice on topics to read up on,or materials (test exams etc) to study as Im finding the book tedious and uninformative in parts. Dont fancy splashing out cash on resources for this exam as after I get this im going 2 sit the CCNA and saving my cash for that one. Thanks in advance....

Just go through that book, read some guides online, do practice questions and you'll pass no problem.
