    I was looking at buying a car last week which had a sports exhaust, was lowered and has 18in rims, I'm just wondering how these mods would effect my insurance.
    The car is an e36 316i.
    I currently drive a standard 316i and am paying 530euros, have a full license and 2 years NCB.

    Anybody any idea, cheers.

    i was on the phone to Quinn Direct last week about changing policy to another car, the guy asked me about mods;
    me;it has an mugen exhaust.
    him;does that make the car quicker?
    me;no
    him;ok, that doesn't mater.
    me;its got coilovers.
    him;does that make the car quicker?
    me;no
    him;ok, that doesn't mater.
    me;its got a spoon ecu.
    him;does that make the car quicker?
    me;yeah, probably
    him;ok, can you take it off???
    me;the car would not work without it (just to confuse him)

    I kind of gave up then, i think i could have told him it had a flux capacitor and he have asked does it make it go quicker.
    I didn't buy the car, so i didn't follow the call up, but i reckon your better declaring all mods, but the one's you've listed should not affect your policy.
