I cant play. Exam pressure and all that. Plus I've a Shels fans v Bohs fans game on Sunday so really need to study on sat. From wednesday onwards i'll be at everything

We play there a fair bit and theres never a problem getting a pitch at that time on either sat or sunday but if we get the numbers ill book it just to be on the safe side.

Hey lads,

I declared my interest in joining up a couple of weeks ago through PM's to Des

I am available for friendlies/training etc Mon-Thurs. I'm usually not in Dublin on the weekends.

I'll keep my eye out on this forum...I usually log in on a daily basis.

...But, I really want to make a go of getting in the squad for this season, so i'll do my best to make this game if it goes ahead. The earlier it is confirmed the better for me.

I play for 2hrs on friday nights as well so i'll have to do an extra long warmup to ensure i don't get the usual bout of stiff legs on the saturday though

Was on the phone with Des earlier and he's defo all on for having a look at new players that have played a bit of ball so come down on Saturday B-K-Dzr and here's hoping your game is better than your username

Des also mentioned he'd be posting up a thread on the Soccer forum and maybe After Hours to try attract some of the less freakish freaks that hang out in them sorta places. All going well we might even get enough for 2 5-a-sides this weekend....but let's start small with one and work it from there.

I reckon we should make this a 2 hour session given that by the time we start we'd only be getting 50 minutes of playing time. 90 minutes playing time with a 20 minute warmup workout beforehand would be just what we need at this late stage of pre-season. Also means we can do roll on and off if we have more than 10 but not enough for 2 pitches.

Suggest 3pm-5pm cos that'd let Shay make an hour of it so if that doesn't put anyone else out can we go for that?

Was just onto them there, its €40 an hour. For a non member such as i am, they wanted me to pay over the phone but my credit card cant take the hit.

I'll be in the area tomorrow so could pop in and pay but she said that we'd be safe enough just showing up on sat since their never that busy (I can confirm that from experience)

My vote is we should welcome all comers that have played a bit to this session. Between text replies to Des and posts on here we should be able to get a good picture for numbers. Agree we should book one pitch to be sure - if you give me the number Simon I'll book it on my card.

If we have the numbers we could go with 2 pitches - either by booking another one or taking one that will likely be available on Saturday try nabbin it for free maybe). Last thing we want to do at this stage is turn away the oppurtunity to have a look at new players due to space limits.

So we're looking at possibly 17? Not worth getting a 2nd pitch IMO.

We have one for 2 hours and with not everyone turning up we're probably looking at 15 which is fine for 3 teams and rotating games
