Has to be a South African CitiGolf import - not *quite* a Mark 1 Golf, its been refined repeatedly.

Interesting alright.Theyve taken the upper part of the dash from the old skoda fabia.Any idea of a price???.The bit at the bottom indicates that you can get a 1.4 and 1.6 with a carburreter:eek::eek: and a "fuel-injected" 1.8.If i've got my facts right the only mk1 with injection was the gti.An 08 mk1 gti would be MASSIVE respect IMO!!!

Clearly from south africa(look at the very bottom)

Its not a GTI. Go to VW South Africa and look at the specs there.

They are called the Citi Golf, and they are indeed made in South Africa. There is a few in this country, I've seen one with a 02-D plate & another with a 98-D plate.

Hell, even the Peugeot 504 was made in Kenya only up to about 3 or 4 years ago.

Going on the prices they charge for beetles, don't expect them to be much cheaper than new Mk5 Golfs.

The closest you'd get to a Mark 1 GTi now is the new Citi-R found below:
    1.8i 8v - 120hp
